Things to do:

Go to a Museum or an Art Gallery:
Adelaide is full of both so if you like the arts you will have no problem keeping yourself occupied. There are plenty of both to choose from, the best known probably being the South Austrlian Museum. Your hostel should have a list of all major museums and galleries.

Go to the Zoo:

There isn't as much wildlife around Adelaide as other cities, so if you want to see some native animals along with other exoctic animals this is the place to go. The zoo is open daily from 9-5.30 and Bus Nos 272 and 273 from Grenfell Street will take you there.

Visit a Vineyard:
South Australia is famous for it's wine so a visit to the state wouldn't be complete without making a trip to a vineyard for some wine tasting. Check with your hostel for different tour operators doing day trips.
