Things to do:

Visit a Lake:
There are many crystal clear lakes to visit on Fraser, the most popular being Lake McKenzie and Lake Wabby.

Tthe water in Lake McKenzie is three different shades. First a crystal clear colour and is classifed as a window lake. Then a light turquoise which fades into a rich blue where the lake gets deep. There is a beautiful beach to sunbath but it wouldn't be fair to the beauty of the lake if you didn't go for a quick dip.

Lake Wabby is popular due to the steep bank which stands before it. Like Lake McKenzie, Wabby is another window lake. It may also termed as a barrage lake. This lake is an excellent example of the sand blow phenomena which is found at different places around Fraser. A large sand blow is moving inland to 1 and 2 metres a year and slowly filling the lake.

Lake Boomanjin on the southern half of the island is the world's largest perched dune lake. This lake is different from the others in that the water is a pale red colour. This is due to tannin from the nearby tea tree swamps. It basically means that the water looks like tea. It also oddly resembles Red Bull.

Other Attractions:
Not seen by many who visit the island, Rainbow Gorge is a beautiful hour long walk with fantastic views of the South Pacific Ocean and different sands of the gorge.

Champagne Pools are beautiful natural pools which are ideal for swimming in. There is also a nice small beach there if the crashing waves get a bit too much for you.

The view from Indian Head is easily one of the most breath-taking you will find on the island. From this lookout you can see various sand blows and in the sea below various sea life such as dolphins, tiger sharks and even humpback whales (from July-November) are often spotted.

Fraser has three shipwrecks, the most popular being Maheno Shipwreck. This is located half way up Seventy-Five Mile Beach and is a nice photo opportunity.
