Kakadu Hostel (08 8979 2232)*:
Kakadu's main backpacker hostel is located in the East Alligator Area of the park. The attraction nearby is Ubirr Rock. This hostel is located behind the Border Store which sells general store supplies. There is a full kitchen, barbecue facilities and swimming pool on the grounds. Dorms cost $16 per night
*Check for access during the wet season

Muirella Park Camping Area:
Just off the Kakadu highway, south of the Nourlangie exit, facilities include shower, toilets and a generator zone. Camping fees are $5 per person *
* Paid on site during the dry season and in the Bowali Visitor Centre in the wet season

Bush Camping Area (Jim Jim Falls Area):
Camping in this site at Jim Jim Creek is free but is only available in the dry season and by 4WD.
