PJ O'Brien's:
Ground Floor, Southgate Arts and Leisure Precinct, Southbank
Not so much a backpacker bar, but is one of the nicer bars in Melbourne. If you're sick of drinking schooners and want to get back on to the pints this is the watering hole for you.

Pugg Mahones:
106-112 Hardware Street
Another of Melbourne's Irish bars, but this place has a more relaxed atmosphere than PJ's and a younger crowd. 'Good craic', as we say!

The Vineyard:
71A Acland Street, St Kilda
This bar with a large outdoor area is one of St. Kilda's most popular bars, particularly during the summer months. Live bands play regularly.
