Visas:

There are two main types of visas: a) holiday visa or b) working holiday visa. Both are fairly easy to get, although they entitle visitors to different privileges.

Holiday Visa:
Holiday visas are valid for three months (although they can be extended for another three) and allow the bearer to travel in Australia, but not work. They must be used within twelve months from the date of issue.

Working Holiday Visa:
These visas are valid for a year and allow you to work within the year to supplement your travels. They can be obtained a year prior to entering Australia and once you enter the country they are valid for twelve months. Natives of eight countries are permitted to get working holiday visas to Australia: Ireland, United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Japan, Canada, the Republic of Korea, Malta, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Germany.

Available to citizens between the ages of 18-30, to avail of a working visa you must submit your passport, a fee which varies in the different countries, a medical cert stating you are fit to travel (only if you plan to work in the health industry) and a bank statement proving that you have €3,200 or over to support your stay once you arrive in Australia.
